Inclusion & environment
On the whole, the provision for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is effective. Children have detailed targeted plans in place and support is swiftly identified. Despite some aspects of the daily routine not always meeting individual children's needs, children with SEND are making good progress in their learning.
Children have an abundance of opportunities to develop their physical skills. Babies have access to an enabling environment that is carefully planned by staff to support their early movements. Older children delight in climbing, negotiating space and balancing.
TLE staff are absolutely amazing. From the day we came to visit, Ash was so welcoming. He showed us around, and Dom instantly took a liking to him—he even wanted cuddles right away! Orlane and Naomi were Dominic’s infant teachers, and he built such a strong bond with them. They really helped him come out of his shell, and we were genuinely sad when he moved up a class because of all the wonderful work Orlane had done with him. Now that he’s in the toddler class, he’s thriving. Toni is fantastic with him, and it’s lovely to see how much he continues to learn and grow. Seeing our son so happy means everything to us. The app is great too—you get regular updates and photos, and it’s so nice to see what he’s been up to during the day. Gabby made us laugh when she told us she calls him “Koala” because he clings on when he gives hugs. It’s even become his new nickname at home! All the staff are incredible, and we feel completely comfortable with Dominic in their care. We highly recommend this nursery.
Read on GoogleA review on our experience with the carer Orlane specifically at TLE From the very first time we met Orlane during our nursery tour at the start of the year 2025, we were impressed by her extensive knowledge of childcare, the nursery’s systems, and the type of care provided. When we later found out she would be our sons primary carer, we were absolutely over the moon. From day one, Orlane has been attentive, informative, and incredibly supportive in helping our son settle in. Her handovers are always detailed, and she has shown a nurturing, motherly approach that is evident not only with our son but with all of the children in her care. She is always approachable, gives thoughtful advice even on matters beyond her role and as a first-time mum, her guidance has truly put me at ease. She is one of the key reasons we value The Learning Experience so highly. Under her care, we’ve seen remarkable progress in our son social skills, speech, and overall development. Orlane’s professionalism, honesty, and openness shine through in everything she does. From sharing practical tips, such as ways to manage our son’s eczema, to encouraging him to try new foods and step out of his comfort zone, she goes above and beyond to ensure each child thrives. Her ability to work well under pressure, her genuine warmth, and her deep understanding of children’s needs make her stand out. I truly believe Orlane would excel in a managerial role or even running her own childcare centre if she wished to pursue that path. The Learning Experience should be extremely proud to have her on their team. We have nothing but praise for Orlane, and we feel very fortunate that she was part of our son’s first nursery experience. She is an enthusiastic, positive, charismatic, and compassionate professional who makes a lasting impact on the children and families she supports.
Read on GoogleThe setting is fantastic, my daughter had some great times here. The teaches and the management always made us feel so welcome and valued. The education and curriculum offer is like nothing else locally. Highly recommend.
Read on GoogleThis nursery completely blew me away the moment I walked in with my younger daughter. The bright colors, the warmth of the staff, and the creative use of characters were simply fantastic. Nothing else compared to it among the other settings I had viewed. My daughter has always entered happily and has formed wonderful relationships with her carers. Knowing that you can bring the TLE characters home in a safe and educational way is everything a parent could want or need.
Read on GoogleThis is a very mixed review. My daughter had been with TLE Leatherhead for 15 months. She thrived there with the amazing room leaders and carers, 5 stars to Libby, Celia and Stevie. However, the management team is an absolute joke. They cannot organise statements or funding properly. For 8 months they failed to get it right and didn't put my daughters eligible funding through, then tried to claim it back through me personally!!?? Its a disgrace. My daughter is currently under diagnosis for ADHD and Autism and the manager, Sian Marshallsay, who is also the SENCO Lead failed to supply correct information to professionals when requested and failed to even put a care plan in place, regardless of the evidence in front of her. When I asked her what sensory equipment is available in the rooms for my daughter (considering they received her disability funding) Sian told me to bring my own in as it would be unhygienic to supply it in the rooms. Sorry - what?? Communication is shocking. It was once a lovely place to be with friendly management staff that were so kind and helpful, but sadly now, the new management team have sucked the joy out of the nursery and made it a cold uncaring and clinical place. Also, most of the reviews you see are staff members. Such a shame.
