Inclusion & environment
All children, particularly those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, make significant progress through the curriculum. Leaders and staff make well-thought-out adaptations, such as visual cues, to ensure all children, including those with SEND, can attend and are fully supported. Staff work closely with parents, regularly assess learning, and tailor teaching. Leaders work tirelessly to secure precise help from external professionals, including additional funding and specialist intervention.
Children have ample opportunities for play, learning, and physical activity both indoors and outdoors. Babies are supported in messy play, while toddlers confidently climb equipment and explore the ball pool. Older children collaborate to free toy penguins from ice, take part in games, understand rules, and celebrate each other's achievements.
Leaders understand the deep connection between children's communication, language, and emotional development. They prioritise developing children's ability to manage and express emotions with words. Staff actively listen to children and model appropriate language, providing visual cues to support those who may not yet have the words to express their feelings.
My little girl has been coming to the learning tree since she was 9 months old and I honestly could not be happier with this nursery. She absolutely adores the staff and is thriving here. You can tell that the staff take really good care of the children and my little girl has such a good bond with them. We appreciate the regular updates and also the work that she brings home so we get to see what she has been up to. The activities they do day to day are really varied and she has learnt so much since she has been there. She is only three years old and I already feel that she would be ready to start school based on the effort that they put into supporting the children to be school ready in addition to what we do at home. I really feel like the staff have gotten to know my daughter well and I’m excited to see how much further she will develop in their care over the next year. I can absolutely see why this nursery continues to be outstanding. The rules and policies are clear and I feel reassured that she is well looked after and in safe hands. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this nursery and I’m looking forward to my baby also flourishing there once she is old enough to attend.
Read on GoogleSuch a wonderful nursery. The staff can’t do enough, they’re always so happy and cheerful. Each day they give you that 5 minutes to chat at pick up to talk about there day. They talk very passionately about them and go above and beyond in every way to make them happy. Communication via the app is great - you get regular updates of what the children have been up to. Staff always send you messages about things they need or for you to bring, particularly if you work you can respond when it’s convenient for you. There’s lots of events to attend and get involved with too and they try and accommodate various times. We’re so glad we chose this nursery for our little girl. She’s so happy there! She’s constantly talking at nursery and the team at home.
