The Montessori People Ltd is the largest independent nursery in the North East, located in Thornaby, Stockton-on-Tees. The nursery prides itself on its dedicated and highly qualified team who are specially trained to foster confidence, trust, and conscientiousness in children.

They cater to various age groups with five expansive and well-equipped rooms, each boasting direct access to its own garden. The curriculum, rooted in the Montessori approach, focuses on building independence and self-confidence by encouraging children to explore and learn through hands-on experiences.

Children are gently guided by teachers to master lessons and progress to more challenging activities, cultivating a natural curiosity and love of knowledge. How they support every child

SEND provision

There is a strong commitment from leaders to form effective partnerships with other agencies who may be involved with the families of children in their care. This includes specialists who provide additional intervention for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. This is greatly valued by parents who welcome the support their children receive.

Outdoor space

The manager and the inspector carried out a joint observation of an outdoor activity for pre-school children. This was done to get a sense of the children's experience of playing outside.
