Inclusion & environment
The nursery offers exceptional support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). There is a dedicated staff team to coordinate the provision for SEND children. Following a detailed assessment of children's individual needs involving parents and external professionals, staff devise personalised learning plans. Children with SEND receive high-quality intervention and benefit from working in small groups, such as in the dedicated teaching room.
The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.
We highly recommend The Nursery. Our son attended from the age of 1 and he’s had a blast and leaves with fond memories that will last forever. From trips out to Clevedon and the lake grounds to developing his skills at Fox Cycling and sports coaching, he’s had the best experiences. Our son has developed and progressed so much since his time at the nursery and we have found everyone there to be so supportive and encouraging as he has progressed through the different rooms. He’s leaving at the age of 4 feeling confident and ready for his next exciting chapter at school. We cannot recommend them enough and our son will cherish his time there and miss everyone immensely.
Read on GoogleMy daughter has been at The Nursery for a year and has loved every minute. The practitioners are highly experienced and create great bonds with all of the children. The Nursery Senco, Gaye, is a huge support not just to my daughter but to the whole family, helping us arrange visits from area professionals and assisting with paperwork for further assessments. We highly recommend the nursery.
Read on GoogleOur daughter has attended The Nursery for a year now. Sending her to nursery was something that I felt so anxious about- I really didn’t need to worry as the staff at the nursery have been totally wonderful. The settling in sessions worked really well and they seemed to fully understood that although they care for babies everyday, this process was a huge deal for us as a family. Our daughter talks about the nursery staff at home as though they are family friends, and she is always happy to see them and to go to them for cuddles and breakfast- she rarely looks back for me at drop off! I would absolutely recommend the nursery- we sent our daughter there after a recommendation from a friend and it was definitely the right choice for us and our daughter.
Read on GoogleOur daughter loves going to The Nursery & is always happy when we pick her up at the end of the day. The Nursery provides a friendly nurturing environment with high standards. They offer a variety of wonderful opportunities such as drama, ballet and cycling sessions on a regular basis. The staff and management team are approachable & will go out of their way to listen to you and answer any questions. I would definitely recommend The Nursery.
Read on GoogleI can’t recommend The Nursery highly enough. My daughter started there at 15 months and to say that there were tears and anxiety for mum and baby is an understatement. The Nursery looked after us and cared for us both so well and continue to do so. There is a real focus on relationship building and understanding the children’s individual personalities which has been so valuable for us. I’m sure my daughter prefers her days at nursery to home now and happily waves me off. The quality of provision and the range of activities that is on offer is amazing and the focus on exploring the outdoors whatever the weather is great too. We couldn’t be happier with our choice for childcare!
