Inclusion & environment
The ongoing learning for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is not always linked to their interests or preferences in play. Staff do not always know what strategies to use to fully support what these children need to learn next, in order to make the best possible progress.
Children enjoy being active and being outdoors. They can put on their own coats and wellingtons ready for outdoors.
My 3 year old daughter has been going to The Old Station Nursery since January this year and absolutely loves it there. Claire and the Team are absolutely devoted to making it a home away from home for the children. Not only has my daughter been potty trained by them, but they have taught her incredible life skills. She loves doing Yoga, singing, dancing, painting, cooking and especially Forest school. Here they learn to climb trees, get to look for bugs and learn a lot about nature. I honestly can’t thank them enough for teaching her such valuable skills and building friendships which in turn gets us to make great new friendships with the parents too. They do say it takes a village to raise children and that village is Old Station Nursery Bridgetown.
Read on GoogleWhat a wonderful space for the children to explore. The room is large and airy with plenty of space for the children to play. It is clear to see the manager has spent lots of time creating an amazing environment to ensure the children benefit from an array of different resources and well thought out activities. The icing on the cake is the opportunity to take part in lots of exciting extra-curricular activities too.
