The Old Station Nursery, Dollman Farm, located in Houlton, Rugby, opened in 2021 and provides childcare for children aged 0-4 years. The nursery operates from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, all year round, ensuring consistent care for families.
Staff at the nursery are kind and nurturing, creating a warm and welcoming environment where children quickly settle and feel secure. The curriculum is thoughtfully planned, with staff engaging children in a variety of activities tailored to their interests, such as exploring farm scenes and learning about sea creatures.
The nursery is proactive in supporting children with special educational needs, with a dedicated coordinator who works with parents and external agencies to ensure children receive the specific help they need. Children also benefit from diverse physical play opportunities, including balancing activities, wheeled toys, and sensory play with sand.
The nursery emphasises independence, encouraging children to lead their play and develop self-help skills.
