We had a very upsetting experience with this nursery, and I would not recommend it. My daughter was 2 years old at the time and had a speech delay, so having a supportive and caring key person was extremely important for her. Unfortunately, her assigned key person told me that my daughter was “too attached” to her and that she didn’t like it. She advised me to make my two year old more independent. something that is clearly unrealistic and shows a worrying lack of understanding of child development. This comment left me in tears and made me question how my daughter must have felt, especially since she couldn’t communicate her needs or emotions fully. Instead of offering comfort and security, it felt like her key person was pushing her away. I also got the impression that some staff did not enjoy their job or the responsibility of caring for young children. As soon as we found a place at another nursery, we moved our daughter and it was the best decision we could have made. She has been much happier and more supported since then. I hope the nursery reflects on this, as young children deserve empathy, patience, and caregivers who genuinely enjoy working with them.

A brilliant nursery on the Oxford Science Park. Fab team who are smiley and welcoming. The children are so happy and engaged. Loved talking to a little boy on my tour the other day about the fire alarm!

Great nursery. Our son goes two days a week and seems to have a blast! The staff are kind and attentive, all that I have met seem to love looking after the children in their care and get to know them. We appreciate the app with updates, which shows some of the varied activities he gets up to in the day (much more inventive than I have energy for at home...). The space is purpose built and easy to cycle to. Getting a space, discussing and paying fees was straightforward and much easier than with other nurseries we looked at.

Arrived at the nursery to a group of children participating in Yoga outdoors in the Spring sunshine - how wonderful! Moving indoors, the children across all the rooms were engaged in a variety of activities using their interests to further their learning and development. The children are encouraged and supported to be as independent as possible as demonstrated when setting up the tables for lunch. I watched children help in this task, carefully setting up table places with plates, glasses, cutlery, jugs, etc, before self-serving their food, self-pouring their drinks, self-scraping when finished eating followed by either a rest or ready to continue their play. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

We love the nursery! Our daughter is in the toddler room and our son is with the babies. They are always happy when we pick them up. We appreciate the onsite chef who cooks healthy and nutritious meals and exposes the children to cooking, too. We are informed about new milestones with photos and assessments through the app. We really like the fact that the different groups can mingle outside and the many activities the OSN staff puts on, such as growing vegetables, feeding the fish,and watching caterpillars transform into butterflies. The people at the nursery make the place really special, everyone in the room seems to know each child well and provides a safe and loving environment. Lastly, we also appreciate the management. Charlotte is always friendly and responsive and goes the extra mile to ensure children and parents are happy. We appreciate that plastic toys are limited.
