The Old Station Nursery in Uxbridge provides care for children aged from birth to four years. The day nursery is open on weekdays from 7.30am to 6.30pm, for 51 weeks of the year. It accepts funding for Tax-Free Childcare and early years entitlement for three- and four-year-olds. In its inspection in August 2022, Ofsted rated the day nursery as Good. The inspector found that children feel happy and safe in a nurturing environment and that partnerships with parents are central to the nursery’s practice.

Staff and leaders value each child as an individual, supporting their learning at their own pace. Children have opportunities to develop physical skills in the outdoor area through activities such as throwing, catching, and balancing. The report highlighted that staff promote communication and language well in the baby room. The inspector also noted that staff talk about and celebrate children's achievements, with particular reference to those with special educational needs and/or disabilities. To improve further, Ofsted suggested strengthening how staff teach and explain risk-taking.

I am beyond grateful for everything my daughter has learned during her time at the nursery. I truly cannot thank the team enough for the incredible care, support, and kindness they have shown us throughout this journey. From the early days of potty training and learning to brush her teeth, to helping her grow into the confident little human she is today – ready to step into the next chapter with courage – it has all been built with their help, guidance, and love. We love The Old Station Nursery! The care and attention that both our children receive is second to none. After struggling to settle in another environment, our eldest now happily strolls in to nursey every morning. The team have been amazing at catering to his needs. He has experienced some speech and language delays, but the team at the old station nursery have been more than helpful with supporting his needs and helping him with his all round development. Our youngest joined in January and in just over a month of attending is happy when we hand her over to the lovely staff and enjoys her days filled with great crafts and activities and tucks into a variety of different foods at meal times. We love seeing daily updates on the app, including photos of what both children have been upto, what/when they’ve eaten, and when they’ve slept. All the team are welcoming, kind, caring and knowledgeable. Exactly what you expect from a nursery environment ☺️

I am so grateful for the positive impact the nursery has had on my son's development. It’s truly a place where children can grow, learn, and have fun in a caring, supportive and homely environment. I highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a place where their child will thrive! The management team are great too and incredibly supportive.

My son has attended this nursery since he was 2 years old and we have both loved it. The staff are friendly and cater to his needs really well. Management are really friendly and supportive if I need anything. Would recommend this nursery to anyone who is looking for childcare.
