These activities support the development of large-muscle skills. Older children enjoy den making, where they learn to tie knots and secure pegs.
Inspectors observed that children experience awe and wonder, with staff encouraging imaginative play, such as covering children's legs and feet in sand and tickling their toes. Mathematical language is seamlessly integrated into daily activities, with staff using a rich vocabulary to extend children's understanding.
The setting offers many opportunities to broaden children's knowledge of their local community through visits to various establishments and schools. Regular support and supervision for staff contribute to positive outcomes for children and high staff morale.
