We have found Roundabout Day Nursery to be a fun, caring and well run nursery. The staff while my son was there were always happy and with it being family run, there was always at least one of the owners of the nursery there. Trevor and Lavonne are passionate about creating an environment that the children want to play in and feel safe at and they are constantly updating their nursery and gardens, adding toys, a sun canopy over the garden, new flooring and decorations. The nursery is small, but I liked that about it, I don't think children necessarily need loads of space, they need to feel safe and cared for first and foremost. The other benefit to a smaller run nursery is that all the children get to know each other across all the ages and my son ended up going to school with 5 children from his nursery and knowing older children in other year groups which made the transition into Reception easy peasy. Also, on quieter days in nursery the staff were able to take the children out on little jaunts to the park or community field for a pic nic tea. I can't praise Trevor, Lavonne and all their staff enough. We have recently taken in some of my son's toys and books that he's grown out of and the staff at nursery were so pleased to see my son Max. Despite my son leaving nursery 2 years ago, they still remembered him and greeted him like they used to when he arrived for the day at nursery and even remembered it was his birthday coming up!
Read on GoogleWe moved to Kesgrave in 2007 with a 4yr old and just under 2yr old and our previous experience with a larger out of area nursery chain was not a pleasant one so we were a bit nervous and visited a few in the local area. Roundabout Nursery stood head and shoulders over everyone else and we were all immediately made to feel comfortable and re-assured with the staff and set up. Lavone and her colleagues made both children feel at ease and we were able to follow their journey through to school age by reading regular updates and always able to see what both kids had learnt and created. The building and lovely outside safe play area are a joy for young kids and staff are always on hand to answer questions. One big thing that we didn't experience elsewhere was that both kids were greeted at the door and made to feel like they were the most important people in the world at that moment. The same happened at the end of each day - A real personal touch. The best compliment we can give is that both our kids loved their time there, can remember lots of happy stories from their experience and still remember the staff by name. Both kids are getting praise at school for their good behaviour and attitude and a lot of this is a result of spending so much of their early years at Roundabout Nursery. We cannot recommend Roundabout Nursery high enough from our experience. Perry and Jennifer Evans
Read on GoogleI can’t recommend the Roundabout Nursery highly enough. I viewed quite a few nurseries in the area before visiting the Roundabout, and they were head and shoulders above the rest - bright and airy, clean (no awful toilet smell permeating the air!!), a great garden area, and I especially loved that the babies were in the same room as the older ones so that they could see and interact, rather than being totally segregated. It was the easiest decision I ever made to send my daughter here - from day one I was happy and confident leaving her with the girls, they are all so genuine, kind and caring - it really made the transition back to work so much easier for me knowing that she would be so well cared for. Due to hearing issues my daughter has a speech delay and I can’t praise the Girls enough for all the time and effort they have put into supporting her, it’s been invaluable and has made a world of difference. If you are looking for a nursery that is more like a family, this is the one for you.
