The School House Nursery, established in 2015, provides childcare for children aged 1 to 4 years in Harrogate. Open all year round, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, the nursery was rated as Good by Ofsted on its latest inspection on 30 March 2023.

Children are happy and settle quickly, feeling safe and secure due to the strong bonds they form with staff. This welcoming environment, coupled with staff who know children extremely well, ensures children feel supported and confident.

The curriculum is designed around children's interests, offering a variety of inspiring learning experiences, such as creative play with junk modelling and outdoor exploration. SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported well by staff. Staff identify gaps in development early and act promptly. The manager refers to outside agencies and professionals for support, implementing changes like height adaptations based on advice from occupational therapists, ensuring all children have an equal opportunity for the best start to their education.

Outdoor space

Children go outside often during the day and enjoy exploring and playing games with their friends. For example, during water play, children pretend to make tea and demonstrate their physical skills as they pour, mix and stir the water.
