Inspector highlights

  • The dedicated and passionate manager inspires staff to be reflective practitioners, constantly adapting the curriculum to meet each child's needs.
  • The special educational needs coordinator (SENCo) is an excellent advocate for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), ensuring they achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Hands-on experiences encourage learning and provide a context for new words to be explored, enriching children's vocabulary and language structures.
  • Children gain a love of stories, songs and nursery rhymes, which are integral to the curriculum and daily routine, and this is furthered by a unique "library cart" system for home reading.
  • Partnership with parents is exceptional, with excellent communication and support offered to families, and local schools provide very positive feedback about how well prepared children are for transition.

SEND provision

The special educational needs coordinator (SENCo) is an excellent advocate for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Staff work successfully with other professionals and parents, developing finely tuned plans so children with SEND achieve the best possible outcomes.

Outdoor space

The manager and staff make excellent use of the extensive range of exciting and well-resourced indoor and outdoor environments. The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.
