The Willcocks Nursery School is a term-time only setting in London for children aged two to four. It is open on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8:45am to 4:00pm, Tuesdays until 2:00pm, and Wednesdays until 12:15pm. At its inspection in April 2026, Ofsted rated the day nursery Outstanding. The inspector found that staff have a strong understanding of children's needs, and provide targeted support for those with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Children learning English as an additional language are supported with keywords from their home languages and Makaton signs.
Ofsted reported that children arrive happily, settle quickly, and form strong relationships with staff. They engage in a range of activities, developing practical skills and making steady progress in communication. The inspector also noted that leaders had not consistently followed safer recruitment procedures and that staff sometimes failed to support children in understanding behavioural expectations. Ofsted required the provider to improve its recruitment practices to ensure an open and positive culture around safeguarding.

Inclusion & environment
Leaders and staff demonstrate a strong understanding of children's individual needs, identifying when extra support is required and implementing appropriate strategies. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities receive targeted assistance through purposeful small-group activities, one-to-one sessions, and focused activities like language games.
Children practice road safety during outdoor walks, learning to stop, look, and listen, which builds their awareness of surroundings and confidence in managing risks independently.
Children learning English as an additional language are supported to communicate confidently through keywords from home languages and show-and-tell opportunities, with Makaton signs also used to aid understanding. Parents are encouraged to share stories in their home languages.
