The Woodlands Infant and Nursery School, situated in Woodhall Spa, is a nurturing and welcoming educational environment committed to fostering a love for learning in young children. The school prides itself on its inclusive atmosphere, where every child is made to feel part of the 'Woodlands family' from the moment they arrive.
A unique tradition involves each new student creating a clay bird that resides in a tree at the school entrance, symbolising their journey through Woodlands until Year 2, when it 'flies on' with them. The school aims to provide a rich and creative curriculum, delivered by enthusiastic and dedicated staff, to ensure children develop essential skills and a lifelong passion for knowledge.
Parents are encouraged to take a personal tour with the Headteacher or a member of the Leadership Team to experience the school's ethos firsthand and ask any pertinent questions.

Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported well by staff. Individual targets are put in place and shared with parents to meet children's individual needs in the nursery and at home. The manager spends additional funding effectively to meet the needs of individual children, for example, by enhancing staffing ratio to provide children with further support to help manage their feelings and emotions.
In the baby room, children are quick to get their shoes when it is time to play outdoors. When children explore pumpkins in the nursery garden, staff help them to measure and weigh the pumpkins and ask them to find a pumpkin the same size as a ball.
