About this day nursery

Thomas's Battersea Kindergarten offers a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 3, providing the initial steps in their educational journey within the Thomas's school system. The kindergarten focuses on fostering each child's potential, building self-confidence, and nurturing inquisitive and enthusiastic learners.

Through a curriculum rich in imaginative play, hands-on discovery, and thoughtfully designed learning experiences, children are encouraged to think creatively, communicate effectively, and develop strong social and emotional skills. The kindergarten supports individual growth, emphasising independence, resilience, and a genuine love for learning at each child's own pace.

From September 2026, the kindergarten will integrate with the main Thomas's Battersea site, catering to Upper Kindergarten pupils and creating a unified educational pathway for children aged 3 to 13. This transition aims to bring the teams closer, ensure curriculum consistency, and facilitate a smooth transition from kindergarten to Reception.

Outdoor space

In the garden, children run and play happily. They learn about the natural environment and extend their physical skills. Outdoor play is an integral part of the kindergarten day, and leaders have further plans to develop the outdoor area to extend learning opportunities even further.
