How they support every child

SEND provision

All children, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), make good progress from their starting points. The manager works effectively with other agencies and local schools to ensure children receive the best support, tailored to meet their needs. The special educational needs coordinator spoke to the inspector about how they support children with SEND.

Outdoor space

Changes made to the building allow children to be outside in all weathers due to the installation of heating and water. Children show perseverance as they work together cooperatively to move the logs around outside.

My twins attended Tickleford Preschool and honestly, they couldn’t have been in better hands. The team there are just brilliant - so kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in the children. We got regular updates, and even the little things were shared, which meant a lot. They were there four full days a week, and it was lovely to see how their personalities were encouraged to shine. Their creativity was nurtured, and they were gently supported in their learning too. It’s a place where they felt safe, happy, and excited to go each day. I’m really grateful for the care they received and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tickleford to other families.

Outstanding preschool! 2 of my older children have attended Tickledford with my youngest in her last year here. They have the most incredible staff who will attend to every child's needs, would highly recommend.

Over the last 5 years, two of my children have attended Tickleford preschool. Our eldest child attended through lockdown, and our youngest child has just moved onto primary school. We can’t fault the staff and management team at Tickleford! They have always gone above and beyond for the children, providing lots of photos and delivering fun activities to promote their development. The children have certainly had the best possible start to education at Tickleford Preschool and we would recommend the setting.

I would highly recommend Tickleford Preschool. Both my eldest (now in yr 2) and now my youngest attend, and it has upkept it’s amazing standards. All of the staff are lovely, and children get a mix of activities throughout the days which you get an insight of on the parent portal. Couldn’t fault them.

Our girls loved going to Tickleford preschool. All the staff are friendly and approachable, and it is run very efficiently. I highly recommend this preschool.
