Little Men and Misses Childrens Day Nursery operates across six settings in the Birmingham, Redditch, and Worcestershire areas, providing childcare focused on the individual needs of each child. The nursery believes in fostering growth at each child's own pace, recognising that every child has unique skills, dreams, and challenges.
A key worker system is in place, ensuring personalised observation of a child's progress, strengths, and areas for development, and acting as the main point of contact for parents to discuss ongoing steps. The nursery emphasises learning through play and fun, aiming to make every day an adventure where children are excited to engage with their peers and develop social skills, good manners, and a sense of shared community.
They are committed to a strong parent partnership, working collaboratively with families to reinforce their values, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds. While they often operate at full capacity, a waiting list is maintained to accommodate new children, and families are encouraged to check availability directly through their website.
The nursery prides itself on a caring and professional staff dedicated to children's development, with testimonials highlighting positive impacts on speech and overall progress. This approach extends to staff development, as evidenced by internal progression to management roles.
Our ethos
Your child is an individual, with their own specific needs, likes, dreams, skills, abilities and challenges. They are on their own journey. Some children will learn quickly, some will take a little longer – what’s important is they are encouraged to grow at their own pace. Our job is to help them along that road, just like you would. In the early years, children learn by playing, by having fun. We want your child to be excited about coming to nursery – to meet their new friends and to have an adventure every day. Our parent partnership ensures that we work with you, reinforcing your values, beliefs and culture.

Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection
Parents appreciate the 'expert care' that their children receive.
They state that leaders and staff are 'exceptionally professional and nurturing'.
Inclusion & environment
The curriculum is very well thought through and carefully considered to meet the needs of all children as they progress through the setting. Staff understand clearly where children are in their development and how to support their future learning. Leaders support staff to develop strong child development knowledge. This informs the accurate assessment of children's learning and ensures clear next steps.
Children are particularly fascinated by water and sand. They delight in scooping, tipping and pouring water into trays and containers, as well as over small word creatures in the garden. Children develop the skills needed to pedal the tricycles in the outdoor play space.
Collected my granddaughter today for the first time, excellent security.l was expected, had to provide a password and show ID, then she was brought to me, l didn't see any other children at all. Absolutely perfect!
