Tiny Robins Day Nursery, located in Lenton, Nottingham, was established in 2018 and operates as a full-day care setting for children aged 0-4 years. Inspected by Ofsted in February 2022 and rated as "Good" overall, the nursery prides itself on creating a "family feel" environment, as noted by parents.

The dedicated team of 11 staff members supports children in becoming independent and developing crucial life skills, ensuring they are well-prepared for their next stage of learning. The curriculum is designed around children's interests, and staff actively engage with parents, including those who speak English as an additional language, to ensure effective communication and support for all children.

The nursery benefits from a large, well-maintained garden, offering ample opportunities for outdoor play and physical development, with children enjoying activities like climbing and sliding. The nursery is open for 51 weeks a year, Monday to Friday, closing only for one week during Christmas and bank holidays.

They provide funded early education for two, three, and four-year-old children and offer earlier opening from 7 am upon prior agreement. The nursery also effectively supports children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, working closely with parents and professionals to ensure all children make progress.

Our ethos

We ensure we work with children to develop the skills, attitudes and knowledge to achieve their full potential. We implement this through a skill based curriculum. This is discussed and reviewed to ensure we meet all of the learning and development needs of each child and the Early Learning Goals of the EYFS. Our curriculum is implemented both indoors and outdoors with equal importance placed on where the children learn. We play and learn outdoors every day.

What it's like

Children arrive happy at nursery and settle quickly into activities, showing an eagerness to learn. They are supported from a young age to be independent and develop life skills, ready for the next stage in their learning. Children's behaviour is good, and they are taught to keep safe.

Pricing & funding

Funded placements incur an additional daily charge for meal packages, with the cost depending on the length of the child's session. These additional fees are invoiced on a monthly basis.
