I'm not sure what the nursery is like itself, but my wife and I have been trying to organise a visit for about 3 weeks with slow/no response to emails and failing to call back when promising to do so. I hope the communication is better for people that actually have children at the nursery.

Wonderful staff who put the children’s welfare at the top most importance teaching them life skills through play

Unfortunately I have had to lower the review score for this setting after initially giving it 5 stars last Autumn. My daughter attended Toad Hall January 2025 - April 2026. Her time in the toddler room was wonderful and she really enjoyed attending despite high staff turn over and numerous managers. Since coming back after Christmas into the preschool room something changed and my daughter started to display stressed and anxious behavior, very upset at attending and seemed very unsettled. Despite a meeting with staff to discuss back in Feb/March the situation did not improve and we could feel the stress and tension from the setting being understaffed again so we chose to remove her and find a new placement. The past 5 months we have seen very little communication on the app, calls and emails go unanswered and I'm now trying to retrieve my deposit with still no reply about it's whereabouts. Such a shame as it was wonderful last year. I really do hope you improve staff numbers and retention as it seems to be a consistent issue currently - The setting could have got a wonderful reputation to provide for the estate but instead it just seems to be going downhill.
