We started in a different nursery in Exeter and it was not the best experience of ours. We then changed to Tops Day Nurseries Exeter and it was the best decision of our life so far. Our daughter is so relaxed and happy there. When I pick her up in the afternoon, she always tells us all the fun she had and new things she learnt that day. All the carers are fantastic. They are so loving and caring and knowledgeable. They are always very patient and always make sure children have opportunity to develop. Drop off is also very plesant, we never had to rush our daughter to go in to the room and she was never taken from our arms at the entrance crying and still upset. They always had time to wait till our little one calmed down. Their menu has a wide variety and our daughter - who is a fussy eater - enjoys their food so much. Diversity is another thing I would highlight. They are so welcoming of everybody. Reception and administration department is always prompt, and extremely helpful. This nursery is the best in Exeter!

Our little one was happy here and adored her key worker, but we were devastated to be given just 2 weeks notice that her room was closing just before Easter this year. Since Exeter College took over this nursery last year, it has gone downhill with lots of staff leaving, hence the baby room closure. The silver lining for us has been that we have found much better and more personable day care for our daughter elsewhere. Despite the amazing infrastructure of Owlets and some lovely staff, we would not send our daughter back here under the current management. It's such a shame that the University appears to have lost control of this vital service for its staff.

Avoid like a fire! Huge red flag of a nursery! I viewed nursery in September we are currently at the end of October. They been pestering me since September to sign my child up. I told them I'm not interested in space of those weeks 3rd time today. They should stop after first time I told them but no I still keep getting emails and texts telling me to sign my child up. They are worse than cold callers! Any setting that feels the need to pester people like that after a clear NO should be banned. It's disgusting we should not be pestered like this by settings! I'm happy to provide receipts of the pestering to anyone who asks. If you're a parent reading this trust me AVOID THE NURSERY! If you are the manager ONCE AGAIN STOP SENDING ME THESE TEXTS AND EMAILS I'M NOT INTERESTED!!!!!!

My son has been going to Owlets since he was 18 months old. He settled in immediately and has learnt so much in the nearly 2 years he has been there. The staff are attentive and cheerful. They are always happy to update you with info about how his day has gone, or talk about any concerns we may have. He is always happy to go in but also excitedly talks about how his day has gone at pick up time. The facilities and (very large) outdoor space are massive positives as my son enjoys being outside so much. We are very happy with the support from staff and the facilities and would recommend Owlets.

After putting our child on the waiting list for nearly a year, and paying for 6 weeks settle in days at full price, the nursery decided to close a room after 8 months and asked our child to leave with a weeks notice. This was after taking on all of the children from the Exeter College City centre nursery two months previously, which also closed under the same management. Constant issues throughout our child's time with the nursery with unexpected closures, mostly stemming from poor management and staffing issues. No one ever seems to stay longer than a few months. They also had a child escape so understaffimg obviously led to safety concerns. On a positive note, most of the staff are very pleasant and seem to care about the children but the management leave a lot to be desired. Communication and man management issues are at the heart of their problems but they prefer to blame everyone else for their staffing issues. The room closure and a new nursery were a blessing in hindsight.
