How they support every child

SEND provision

Children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, make close relationships with the staff. They snuggle to look at books and follow staff's instructions, such as tidying up at lunchtime.

Outdoor space

Pre-school children run around the garden safely, chasing their friends and ride sit-on toys skilfully using the pedals. They safely climb and balance on the equipment and shout, 'I've done it', as they jump off the obstacle course. Children build the three pigs' houses using large building bricks outside, repeating 'I'll huff and puff and blow the house down' and having fun knocking the houses down.

My second time sending a child through Busy Bees Duffield. Child 1 was from 18 months and child 2 was from 9 months. Both times I have felt like my child was safe and supported - I couldn’t have asked for anything more from the team. The ladies have been brilliant from day one, supporting my request to stick to our routine, as well as my child’s needs at whatever stage they were at. As a slightly chaotic busy working mum, having my wishes heard and supported has enabled me to continue to work without worry, knowing my children were so well cared for and that it was ok if I forgot the nappies 3 days on the trot. My most recent experience has been with the under 2s room. It’s difficult to name any of them individually as they have all played a significant part in my child’s development and overall happiness at busy bees, but Sarah when my child was in the baby room and Rachel, Ellie & Colette when they moved up have gone above and beyond supporting my child. Collectively the trust in the ladies at busy bees and their attitude towards caring for the children made my return to work at 9 months PP stress free in comparison to my previous return to work experience at another nursery. I wouldn’t hesitate to send our next (and last 😅) child through busy bees duffield if we’re lucky enough to have another. They don’t just look after the children, they’ve definitely looked after me too.

Duffield Busy Bees is fantastic, the girls are lovely and I feel my boys are really well looked after. Would 100% recommend, they learn so much and have messy activities as well as lots of outdoor play. Going to be sad when my little ones go to school - they have had my eldest since he was 7 months and my youngest since he was 3 months old. Katie is lovely who runs Duffield and all of the nursery staff are amazing :)

My Daughter has always been happy here. The kitchen is new, the food smells amazing whenever I walk by in the morning. Home made food that my child actually will eat. Large garden area for running around and the staff are all really friendly and helpful with everything I ask questions about.

My child settled in the baby room at the nursery amazingly from day 1. The staff and management team in the nursery kept me well informed throughout the day which reassured me. The rooms within the nursery are all clean, modern and suited to each child’s individual needs. I would definitely recommend this nursery.
