How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported very well through partnership work with parents and others involved in children's care and learning. Managers work hard to ensure that children receive any support necessary from external professionals or internally within the nursery.

Outdoor space

Older children are supported to check the garden is safe and free from hazards. Staff consider the needs of individual children and ensure that the nursery and garden are safe places for all children to play.

Thank you to you and your team for the amazing work you are all doing. Since lockdown began back in March, Busy Bees nursery have consistently provided amazing care for our daughter and the fact that you have remained open during this period has been immeasurably helpful for our family. Aside from allowing us to go to work (university and NHS), staying open has given her the sense of normality and routine that is so important for children of this age. When so many people are having to shut down their services the fact that you have stayed open is a testament to your dedication and recognition of the vital service you are providing as essential. We have always been happy with our daughter going to Busy Bees but now more than ever we are so incredibly grateful to you. Every day she comes she is happy and every time we collect her she has had a good day. She is able to play with her friends and continue her learning and development in the best possible nursery we could have hoped for. Your staff are amazing as they genuinely care about the children and always seem to put kindness and love at the forefront of their jobs. So many times she comes home and talks about what she has done that day and who has looked after her and the fabulous food she has eaten. The garden is the best nursery garden we know, and the thoughtful details that go into making the house and rooms a home for the children are just exactly how things should be. Honestly, we can't recommend you guys enough and we just wanted to share how we felt about it. THANK YOU!!!

My 18 month old son really enjoys this nursery and comes home exhausted but happy. The environment is warm, welcoming and homely. His meals, activity and experiences are varied. The staff are friendly, form really strong bonds with him and create a nice atmosphere. I'd recommend busy bees Headingley to any other parent. :)

Katie, the manager, has been incredibly kind and understanding to our changing circumstances and has helped eased our worries and ensure our daughter has a great time whenever she is there. Our daughter has had fantastic key workers with Emma, Jamilla and Eleanor who have all been engaging, open and kind. Another special mention for the top chef Marcia who is probably our daughters favourite person...she loves the food! Marcia is always friendly and chatty to us as well. Overall a great experience so far for our 18 month old.

Don't send your children to this Nursery. The facilities and daily activities are very poor. The rooms are extremely small for all ages, for the number of children they put into the toddler room there is not enough space for free roaming. There is a high staff turnover meaning minimal consistency for your child. Drop offs in the morning are chaotic, they want to keep staff numbers down so it's hard/impossible to feel that your child is being comforted when the keyworker is juggling other children. I've witnessed staff to child ratios that are not allowed. The management (regional directors) work very hard to manage the reputation but don't be fooled. There are much better nurseries within the Headingley area. Glad I removed my child.
