Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), or those who face other barriers to their learning, are not always provided with the right level of support swiftly enough, and often lack the same opportunities to develop good hygiene routines. Visual aids like 'now and next' boards are not consistently used to help them with self-care routines or prepare for structured events, which can lead to frustration and hinder their learning.
Children enjoy a mixture of indoor and outdoor learning, making good progress in their physical development. Toddlers enjoy climbing over indoor playground equipment, strengthening their core, legs and arm muscles for walking, running and playing. Children also love playing outdoors, splashing in puddles and making patterns on the floor.
Some children who face barriers to learning, such as speaking English as an additional language, are not always positioned to sit at the front of the group during story time, affecting their opportunity to build confidence and ability to practise speaking in front of others and engage with peers.
Amazing Nursery with lovely outside secure setting amongst trees. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and most importantly seem to care for the children. The nursery is very well equipped, my child always has an amazing day. Highly recommend
