The friendly and enthusiastic staff create a welcoming environment where children quickly settle and develop a sense of trust and belonging. They are committed to providing valuable learning experiences that teach children about their community and the world around them, including educational walks to the local library and discussions about local amenities like vets and doctors.

The curriculum is well-sequenced and tailored to individual needs and abilities, ensuring children are supported in developing new skills and knowledge. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive robust support; staff are adept at understanding and implementing the necessary provisions to help every child make progress.

The inclusive environment and adaptable activities ensure all children's needs are met. Children are also taught to identify risks and understand safety, both indoors and outdoors, through routine risk assessments and discussions.

Staff foster good hygiene routines and encourage positive behaviours, contributing to a respectful and supportive atmosphere where children learn to be polite and listen well.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are supported well. Staff know the children well and understand what is needed to provide support in intended areas of learning. Managers and staff have created an environment that is inclusive of all children. Staff plan activities that are adaptable and suitable to support all children's needs. Therefore, all children receive the support they need to make progress in line with their abilities. The special educational needs coordinator spoke to the inspector about how they support children with SEND.

Outdoor space

Staff undertake routine risk assessment on the indoor and outdoor environment. They are teaching children how to identify risks for themselves, and they talk about ways to avoid or reduce dangers.
