Inclusion & environment
Most children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, make progress appropriate to their starting points and benefit from targeted support. The provision for special educational needs and/or disabilities is secure, with well-considered adaptations and knowledgeable practitioners who tailor experiences effectively. Leaders ensure that reasonable adjustments are personalised and practical so that children can participate fully in daily experiences. Leaders monitor children's progress closely, meeting regularly with staff to evaluate the impact of support and adapt plans where needed. Staff receive relevant training that strengthens their confidence in applying the graduated approach and responding to children with differing needs. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are well supported with tailored strategies.
A significant strength of the setting is the outdoor forest area. Here, children thrive as they take managed risks, investigate natural materials and experience the rich benefits of outdoor exploration. They develop resilience, physical confidence, and a strong sense of independence, exploring climbing trees and playing on swings. Children are observed to demonstrate perseverance to take risks safely and, once achieved, seek celebration from staff. They proudly call to the adult to share their success when exploring the outdoor space and navigating a swing.
My son goes to this nursery (currently in the baby room up to 2yrs) and he absolutely loves it. They are all gifted people with a true care for the children and it shows as he’s just the happiest guy there! They have a nice varied menu and try hard to get our picky eater to try things! Entirely happy with them and highly recommend.
