How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff identify children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and provide them with good support. This includes working on targeted individual support plans. However, staff do not routinely seek help from outside of the setting for children with SEND at the earliest opportunity. There is room for staff to strengthen collaboration with other professionals to further support children with SEND.

Outdoor space

Children enjoy accessing the stimulating outdoor learning environment. Staff take children outside to learn and offer healthy puddings, such as fruit or yoghurt.

We are really pleased we chose Westhill to send our children to they have both come on leaps and bounds under the care of the staff at Westhill, they both enjoy going to the nursery, have made great friends and take part in a whole range of activities. As parents we love to see the pictures and updates from their day on the app. We also appreciate and value the parent workshops that the staff provide to help you support your child in their learning journey too. All the staff are caring, friendly and happy to help.

We’re really happy with how our son has managed to settle and develop under the care of Parvinder and now Melinda as he’s moved through the rooms. Contact throughout the day via the App is good, keeping you up to speed with changes, meals, and sleep etc. And the days seem varied and interesting for the kids with an array of activities! Thanks guys

My daughter loves going to nursery here and I'm pleased with her progress. She has made lots of friends and developed bonds with the staff, I am always updated on her progress and her day.

I can’t recommend Westhill Corner Day Nursery enough! My son attended here a few years ago before starting school, and now my daughter is attending. What stands out most is their incredible consistency—many staff members have been there since we started, and they really care about the children. My daughter loves going—she comes home so happy every day. They’re also incredibly supportive—whenever we needed a bit of extra help with things, they were always there. It’s truly a family-centered place, and we feel so supported.
