About this day nursery

Westside Day Nursery, a family-operated childcare provider with five nurseries located across East Hull, is dedicated to offering exceptional care and enriching learning experiences for children. Each setting, including the Grange Road branch which is a 53-place facility open for three years and features dedicated rooms for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, plus a sensory room and separate outdoor play areas, operates with an "in the moment" approach.

This philosophy encourages following children's interests, which are then enhanced by highly qualified and passionate practitioners to foster development through enjoyable play and exploration. The nurseries are Ofsted registered and collaborate closely with the Local Authority and Early Years Team.

The team consists of motivated and devoted staff, most of whom have been with the company for several years, all working towards providing high-quality care and education. All staff hold a minimum Level 3 childcare qualification, and managers/deputies possess degrees in children's learning and development.

They are also certified in safeguarding, paediatric first aid, health and safety, and food hygiene, with ongoing professional development plans. Each child benefits from a key person who supports their transition, ensures their needs are met, and fosters a secure environment where children feel confident to explore and learn new things.

The nurseries also pride themselves on achieving high standards, holding Millie's Mark accreditation and working towards higher levels in safety and quality awards.
