Wolstanton Kindergarten, part of The Kindergarten Group, has been a cornerstone of the Wolstanton community for over three decades, operating from The Old School House. It became part of Natasha Richards' group in 2012, after she was so impressed by the quality of care her own children received there.
The nursery is a close-knit setting, accommodating up to twenty-five children daily, with dedicated spaces for babies, toddlers, two to three-year-olds, and pre-school children. Additionally, the kindergarten provides before and after-school care for children up to eleven years old.
The outdoor enclosed garden offers daily play opportunities, and the nursery serves all primary schools in the Wolstanton area. Meals are freshly prepared on-site by the nursery’s Catering Manager.

Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection
Parents describe the trust and respect they have for staff and the sense of community created by them.
Inclusion & environment
Staff spoke to the inspector about how they support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
Children relish their time outdoors, and consideration is given to all areas of learning in the garden. For example, outdoors, children develop their physical skills, using the climbing frame and skilfully using ride-on toys. Children kick and throw balls, collect water and sand and use their imaginations in the pretend ice-cream parlour.
Wolstanton kindergarten is an outstanding nursery, our son has been at the nursery since he was a baby, he is almost ready for school and he is very well prepared it’s a small nursery and as such he has had all the love and attention which has enabled him to grow in both ability and confidence. The staff are great, very well informed and always go that extra mile to make learning fun. Its owned by a head teacher who ensures its standards are kept impeccably high – I can honestly say you will not find a better nursery in Newcastle under Lyme or Stoke on Trent. Richard Hackney
