  • Leaders use funding well to support children who need extra help with their learning and to enrich the curriculum with specialist teachers and experiences.
  • The curriculum is planned well, and extra activities like visits to the beach, park, town, and railway station effectively extend children's learning.
  • Children make friends easily, are kind and respectful, and actively celebrate differences and similarities.
  • There is good support for children's language and mathematical development, with staff modelling language well for babies and older children building on communication skills and mathematical concepts.

Areas to develop

  • 1make better provision to incorporate children's home languages and cultures into the nursery curriculum
  • 2improve teaching further to the highest level by making sure that every unplanned opportunity to enrich children's learning is captured and children are always allowed to explore their own ideas in full before adults end activities.

Woodstock is a fantastic nursery. I've visited many times and the children are always happy, laughing and having fun with the lovely staff. The garden is amazing too. Definitely one to visit if you're looking for childcare.

My wife and I couldn't be happier. Environment feels very homely. We are allowed to enter the room/garden where our daughter is at pick up time to see her in her environment, rather than waiting outside. The nursery has a massive garden with all-weather grass, shrubs and trees for the children to play. A big plus for us was staff retention, most of the staff have been there more than 5 years and some more than 15 years. This is in complete opposite to other nurseries

I just want to share how happy I am with the choice I made. We started when Ezra was one and there was so much worry and guilt towards all potential situations. Now, after 2 months, I honestly believe it is the best choice I could have ever made for him. The staff is amazing! So carrying and so communicative. I get everyday bits of information about what he did through the day. But seeing him smiling and laughing with the staff at pickup, just melts my heart! Thank you all ❤️❤️
