Located in the grounds of Cranford Park Primary School, the pre-school benefits from its own building and large garden, as well as access to the school fields and hall.

The pre-school operates for 38 weeks per year, with flexible drop-off and pick-up times. They focus on promoting healthy eating by involving children in growing fruits and vegetables in their garden and encourage physical activity through music and movement, and outdoor play on the school field.

Yateley Community Pre-School takes a "zero tolerance" approach to safeguarding, prioritising the health and safety of children, families, and staff. They pride themselves on their experienced and committed team, who work closely with families and other professionals to nurture and support each child.

The pre-school also offers the option of healthy school dinners through their link with Cranford Park Primary School and maintains a closed Facebook group for parents to stay updated on their children's activities. They aim to be approachable and flexible, striving to make each child's time at the pre-school a fun and memorable experience, fostering a supportive "pre-school family" environment.

What it's like

Children, including those who are younger and less confident, benefit from staff sensitively supporting them to move into the pre-school. Children understand the routines of the day. This helps them to know what is happening next and supports them in feeling safe and secure.

Pricing & funding

Fees are charged at an hourly rate which varies depending on the child's age, with different rates for two-year-olds and three-to-four-year-olds. Fees are payable in advance. Optional school dinners can be purchased separately.
