About this day nursery

Yetev Lev D'Satmar Nursery, established in 2023, provides childcare for children aged 3 years old, operating all year round from its location in London, N16 6HX. 30pm during the winter.

30am to 3pm in both summer and winter, and it is closed on Saturdays. Children at the nursery are observed to arrive happily and settle quickly, benefiting from the warm and positive relationships staff have established.

Leaders have been actively working to enhance the curriculum and support staff through training and coaching since the last inspection, which has been appreciated by the team. While progress has been made to address weaknesses, the Ofsted report from 14/07/2025 notes that supervision arrangements are not yet fully embedded, leading to some inconsistencies in planning and teaching.

The curriculum is developing, with staff becoming more confident in tracking children's progress and planning activities that support individual development, including those with cultural and religious relevance. Children also enjoy daily outdoor time, where they engage in physical play, skillfully riding bikes and balancing, as well as quieter activities like sand, water play, and mark-making, promoting coordination and individual interests.

Leaders have also increased opportunities for children to use and hear English during daily routines, although further development is needed in this area.

Areas to develop

  • 1continue to strengthen supervision arrangements for all staff to help ensure that weaknesses in practice are identified and addressed to develop the overall quality of the provision
  • 2ensure leaders review curriculum planning, including environment preparation, to support staff in implementing clear and consistent transition routines that promote calm, purposeful movement between activities and support children's ongoing learning

I visited here when I had flown over from the USA and needed to catch Shacharis so that I could say Kaddish for my mother. The late departure from America and therefore the late arrival in London made this challenging however thanks to this Shul I was still able to say Kaddish a few times. Parking was a little challenging, until I found a spot in the very small car park and a friendly fellowman guided me in.
