About this day nursery

Yew Tree Community School is located in Oldham and is dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for its young learners. The school focuses on offering comprehensive educational experiences, evident through its array of resources and programmes.

In response to recent national lockdowns, the school has implemented a "catch-up" programme, utilising additional government funding to address learning gaps. This includes investing in a new reading system, the Reading Planet, to enhance in-class guided reading and home reading, as well as improving phonics systems.

Furthermore, Yew Tree Community School has adopted Century Tech, an online intervention programme leveraging artificial intelligence to identify and address individual learning gaps through personalised learning paths. The school also offers small-group tuition for older students in comprehension and maths, alongside a remote Saturday Catch Up Club for Year 5 and 6 pupils, focusing on reinforcing weekly learning and pre-teaching upcoming topics.
