2J's Pre-school provides early education for children aged 2-4 years, operating during term-time with locations in Gillingham and Strood. The pre-school focuses on fostering a love for learning through play in a secure, warm, and stimulating atmosphere.
They aim to deliver top-tier preschool education with a high staff-to-child ratio, ensuring dedicated teachers support children in diverse activities, skill acquisition, and developing a lifelong passion for learning. The Gillingham setting was established in 2013, while the Strood playgroup, acquired in 2006, now enjoys sole usage of its hall, allowing for significant environmental enhancements to benefit children's purposeful play.
Both pre-schools are dynamic and committed to continuous improvement, striving to offer inspiring experiences that enable children to develop new skills, build relationships, enhance confidence, learn independently, and reach their full potential.

Inclusion & environment
The special educational needs coordinator (SENDCo) works closely with parents, staff and other professionals to ensure children with SEND and those who speak English as an additional language receive the support they need. They have implemented small focused groups to help support children's communication and language, enabling staff to act quickly to close identified gaps in learning.
Children use the outside play area with large tyres and balancing beams where staff encourage climbing and balancing to develop muscle strength and spatial awareness. The manager has used additional funding to support and enhance children's engagement with the outdoor area.
Children who speak English as an additional language receive support through the SENDCo's work and small focused groups to support communication and language.
