Abacus Day Care in Chatham, established in 2025, provides childcare for children aged 0-4 years. The nursery operates from Monday to Friday, 7:30 to 18:00, and received an 'Expected Standard' rating from Ofsted in February 2026.

The staff are dedicated to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment, fostering strong bonds with children and supporting families. They emphasise the importance of self-care skills, healthy eating, and promoting language and literacy development through various engaging activities, including rhymes for babies and a 'book swap' for older children.
While strong in many areas, the nursery is working to further enhance staff's mathematical understanding extension and information-sharing with parents to support learning at home.

Children are encouraged to go outside by learning to put on their coats and boots. Older children enjoy skillfully kicking balls into nets, which helps with their physical development.
