ABC Studio Childcare is a sustainable nursery in Peckham, catering to children from walking age up to five years old. They focus on creating a safe and caring atmosphere, with meticulous attention to planning the physical space, providing healthy and nutritious meals, selecting high-quality educational materials, and hiring qualified and nurturing staff.
The nursery encourages a 'free-flow', child-led play approach to support natural curiosity and exploration. For older children, they offer more structured educational activities to prepare them for school.
The facility is open for 49 weeks a year, closing for one week at Christmas and one week in August, with core hours from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, offering full-day sessions only. They accept various government funding options and provide wrap-around care and extended hours at an additional cost.
The nursery also offers a 5% sibling discount and requires a minimum of three full days per week for placements. They charge an application handling fee for an 'Opt In' place on the waiting list and a registration fee once the place is offered and accepted.

Inclusion & environment
Staff monitor children's development well and have a good understanding of their learning needs. They speak confidently about the progress that children have made and how they will support their next steps in learning. Staff work closely with parents and have developed links with other professionals to help support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. This helps to provide a consistent approach to children's care and learning.
Children have countless opportunities to spend time outside, discovering the natural world around them. They demonstrate strong physical development, with older children skilfully using bicycles and younger children navigating space with a wheelbarrow.
Very caring and nurturing environment. Creative activities. Priority on outdoor play. ABC just got access to a new space over the road with an even bigger outdoor garden for the children to use and have picnics etc. Our toddler absolutely loves it. The staff are long term, minimal turnover, (i.e rarely bank staff) which helps with settling in and creating a consistent environment for learning. There are also multiple male members of staff which we think is important for role models and showing men in caring positions. The nursery also has all children playing in the same spaces - across ages. Activities are separated out to be age appropriate but we like that they learn how to play with children older and younger. An extremely well run place. The staff also put on periodic events for parents, such as Christmas party, as well as learning session on topics such as toilet training, applying for schools, and managing challenging behaviour. We’ve had our toddler here for nearly a year and intend to send our latest baby here too!
Read on GoogleOur daughter has been going to ABC for a year and a half now and we’re super happy. She is thriving. The whole team is great. Lots of learning and creative opportunities for the kids - indoor, outdoor and out of nursery - but also a really warm and friendly atmosphere. They make sure to involve parents with social events, workshops and regular parent-teacher meetings. Thank you to the whole team!

Read on GoogleOur two daughters have been part of the ABC family for over two years now, and we couldn’t be happier - the team is incredibly kind, nurturing, and attentive, always ensuring the kids are happy and fulfilled. They offer a great mix of fun activities, free play, and plenty of outdoor time, including trips to parks and the wildlife centre and even to the theatre for special occasions. The warm, family-focused atmosphere and clear communication, including an active parent WhatsApp group, makes us feel very involved. We feel lucky to have found this lovely nursery.
