Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities make excellent progress from their initial starting points. The SENCo provides very good support and meets regularly with staff to ensure targets for children are focused and ambitious.
Children have access to a rich outdoor play environment which they risk assess, and staff teach them how to play safely and minimise accidents. Children enjoy balancing on beams, running and climbing, and staff champion physical development across all age groups.
From the very beginning, this nursery has been absolutely amazing. Kim and Annabel were incredibly supportive and accommodating, really going out of their way to help with the days I needed. Their kindness and flexibility made such a difference and instantly made us feel valued as a family. From my first visit, I just knew this was the right nursery. The environment was calm and welcoming, the children were engaged in every room, and the provision and activities on offer were excellent. It all felt so thoughtfully planned and nurturing. My son settled into the baby room far better than I ever expected, especially as he is very attached to me. That is a true testament to the caring, nurturing environment and the wonderful staff. We were genuinely sad to leave the baby room. Hayley, Chloe and Ty gave him exactly the kind of start to early years education that every parent would hope for. The toddler room has been fantastic so far. The staff truly listen to the children’s interests and build on them. One lovely example was when my son was looking at the large playhouse at pick-up; Dominica noticed and then set it up as part of the provision the very next day. That level of attention and care means so much. We’re really looking forward to continuing his journey through the toddler room and on into preschool. I couldn’t recommend this nursery more highly. Huge thanks to everyone at the nursery for making this such a positive and reassuring experience for both us and our son.
Read on GoogleI feel incredibly fortunate to have Adventures Day Nursery right on my doorstep. My baby has been attending for a few months now and I am truly amazed by how much he is thriving in every way. The staff are warm, caring, and genuinely knowledgeable. Their attention and kindness give me complete peace of mind each day. One thing that really stands out is the quality of the food provided. It is always nutritious and thoughtfully prepared, which is so important for growing little ones. The kitchen consistently holds a five-star hygiene rating, and that level of care and cleanliness means a lot to me as a parent. As a first-time parent, I was naturally anxious about choosing the right nursery. Adventures Day Nursery has gone above and beyond my expectations. If you are feeling unsure, I wholeheartedly encourage you to give it a try. You will be amazed by the positive changes you see in your child. Thank you to the entire team at Adventures Day Nursery for creating such a joyful, safe, and nurturing environment. We are truly grateful.
Read on GoogleWe couldn’t be happier with Adventures Day Nursery! My son attended for 2.5 years, and the experience has been absolutely wonderful. From the very first day, the staff made us feel welcome, reassured, and supported. They are warm, caring, and truly dedicated to every child’s wellbeing and development. The environment is safe, nurturing, and full of fun activities that really helped my little boy grow in confidence, independence, and social skills. The communication with parents has always been excellent — we always knew what he was learning and how he was progressing. Looking back at these 2.5 years, I can say it was the best choice we made for our child’s early years. We are so grateful to the whole team for giving him such a happy and positive start. Highly recommended to any parent looking for a place where their child will be cared for and encouraged to thrive!
Read on GoogleDo not send your children here! An absolutely awful establishment, they are looking for financial gain and nothing else, no consideration for children or parents. There has been several serious incidents at adventures none of which were handled correctly however, ofsted will be made aware of their disgraceful conduct. Do not fall for their 'outstanding' status they are the complete opposite, I had to learn this the hard way and sadly my child has suffered due to this. We place our children in the hands of caregivers hoping they will treat them with kindness and compassion adventures disrespects the entire definition of 'childcare provider'. As mentioned above there were multiple incidences at adventures which were not investigated properly. They showed a lack of respect, support and compassion towards these matters. They went as far as to belittle and ridicule us as parents and we have evidence to support this and will use this to take matters further. The owner Kym refused to address any of these incidences face to face and we as parents have never experienced such a level of disrespect. We felt so concerned about our child's care that we we had no choice but to remove him from adventures which will be reported to the correct authorities.
Read on GoogleI’m finding it quite confusing to read negative comments about this nursery to be honest. Is it worth the Outstanding rating?…..yes! Do they genuinely care about the children?…yes. My twins have been attending Adventures since they were 5 months old. A very difficult, heart wrenching decision for a mum that needed to go back to work. Having had another child go to another nursery. i can honestly say, the care for the children at Adventures is simply outstanding. They encourage calling whenever you want, to ensure you feel at ease. They take their roles as care-givers very seriously and they always do well thought out events to make parents feel included. My twins are now 3 years old and thriving. The parent/ nursery communication is vital to this. Updates on the communication app is done when there is time. Caring for the children is their priority, as it should be. Unfortunately, some businesses in the sector have meant that parents/carers are more paranoid about the care given by nurseries. Adventures day nursery isn’t one to question. My humble opinion as someone who has been sending their children there for over 3 years and have had to trust them when my babies couldn’t talk. I have heard people also talk about the price of this nursery in comparison to others….personally….I would go broke to ensure my children is given the care they need. Recommend 100%
