About this day nursery

Anchor Day Nursery, located near the A4174 ring road in Bristol, provides exceptional childcare for children aged 0-5 years. The nursery boasts a 60-place capacity and offers dedicated rooms tailored to different age groups: a nurturing baby room, a stimulating toddler room, an engaging 2-3 years room, and an exciting preschool room, each designed to lay strong foundations for learning.

All children have access to a garden area, segmented for different age groups to ensure appropriate play and exploration. The nursery prides itself on its commitment to the Early Years Curriculum, focusing on the seven areas of learning to support each child's individual milestones.

They emphasise collaboration with parents, especially in the baby room, to maintain consistent routines. As children progress to the toddler room, the focus shifts to more stimulating and messy play activities, prioritising Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language, and Physical Development.

The 2-3s room encourages a free-flow routine while gently introducing more structured activities to prepare for preschool.

From the moment I had a show around by Natalie, I knew that this nursery was the place for my son. The team are welcoming, kind and you can tell they genuinely care for the children. The team have been brilliant at supporting with difficult obstacles that we have faced the last few months. My son has thrived in his nursery, he never looks back when he walks in and he’s created some lovely bonds with the staff. Thanks Anchor Day!

My little girl (15 months) has settled in so well to nursery since starting back in October. The team in Toddlers have been amazing with her, and they put so much effort into coming up with ideas for creative play. The nursery as a whole do themed days each month which is great and something to look forward to. The Toddlers room is very spacious and has a wide variety of toys and books, and they have a role play corner which they often change up (shop, garden centre, etc). They also offer the opportunity for the children to make and have birthday cake when it's their birthday, for an additional cost, which is a lovely idea. Handovers at the end of the day are very detailed including what they've eaten, how long they've slept and how many nappies they've had. The staff are brilliant and can't do enough for you. I would 100% recommend this nursery.
