About this day nursery
Angels Unlimited Nurseries is a nursery in Thornton Heath for children aged from one to four years. It operates from 7.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday, throughout the year, except for public holidays. Ofsted inspected the day nursery in February 2024 and gave it an overall judgement of Good. The inspector found that staff know the children well, form positive relationships with them and model calm, gentle behaviour. Staff support children's communication and language development through reading, singing, and sign language. The setting also supports children with special educational needs and/or disabilities by working with other agencies.
The curriculum builds on what children already know. Children spend time outside daily in an improved outdoor area that has resources for creative play and climbing equipment. The inspector noted this supports muscular development and healthy risk-taking. Healthy meals are offered, with fruit and water available. According to the Ofsted report, parents commented that their children are happy to attend and have developed well in their social skills, confidence, and language.

Our daughter started going here this September. This is the first time we’ve left her with anyone, trusting her happiness and well-being to someone else, so we were quite nervous and very vigilant about finding the right place. We visited several nurseries and childminders in the area but Angels stood out considerably ahead of the rest. So much careful thought has clearly gone into the facilities. The rooms are fresh, bright and clean. Lovely play and learning environments. The staff are calm, kind and well qualified. They made our daughter very much at home so quickly. She absolutely loves it here and is thriving. The smile on her face every morning when we arrive, and how happy she is to be handed over to start her day, is testament to the wonderful Angels staff. We couldn’t be happier. And neither could our daughter.
