SEND provision

Leaders ensure that children who are entitled to additional funding get this, and it is used to support any gaps in the children's development. Staff provide small group sessions to further assist those children who need support in the area of communication and language.

Outdoor space

Younger children are keen to show visitors how they can balance on a wooden plank, which has been set up to encourage their physical development. Leaders want children to develop their physical skills and provide age-appropriate activities for all children to do this.

The Arkday nursery is the best nursery ever! Our son has been with them since he was 5 months and we couldn’t be more happier. All the staff love him and he loves them too, with the nursery staff there are no boring days and they do everything in their power for the well-being of the children. Thank you so much for your hard work!

My daughter who has down syndrome has recently left her placement at the ark ready to move to preschool in spetember. After spending 6 months being turned down by many nurserys because of my daughters needs my friend mentioned the ark. I arranged a visit and will say from the moment we stepped through the doors I knew this would be my daughters nursery. As a special needs mum this nursery offered inclusiveness. They have made my little girl who was shy not confident and struggled with many things into a confident outgoing little girl. They have bent over backwards to accomodate my daughters needs in every aspect. They have worked very closely with her OT PT and manual handling to ensure my daughters needs were met and achieved. Saying goodbye was very sad the nursery staff are some of the best staff and I will never be able to thank them enough for the hard work they have put into my daughters development and mobility.
