Their fantastic outdoor space, comprising a large playground, a rubber crumb area, and two lawns, is utilised daily to promote healthy and happy lives for the children.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff successfully identify emerging gaps in children's learning and development and provide targeted support and small-group work to help them make progress. They work closely with other professionals and external agencies to ensure that all children's needs are met, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.

Outdoor space

Outdoors, children wait their turn to use the slide. Staff offer sensitive encouragement and help children, while children develop their large muscles as they climb and then squeal with laughter going down the slide. Children also visit a local woodland area where they learn to build dens, navigate uneven paths, and talk about feeding birds, supporting their growing confidence and self-esteem.

Not sure if google reviews mean much when looking at nurseries, but here goes. My daughter went to Mountford from 9 months to 4 and half years old. She thrived there, found friends, and we found a community of excellent early year carers who we could trust to care for and nourish our child. She is over it, and settled in school as Mountford house prepared her so well. We still miss it at times.

My little girl is profoundly deaf and has cochlear implants. She attended Mountford house for 4 years and they were amazing, kind, caring and went that extra mile to ensure she fitted in amongst the other children.
