Inclusion & environment
The manager acts with integrity to ensure that all children, especially those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), make the most of their access to early education. Staff quickly and accurately identify gaps in children's learning and put support in place as quickly as possible, including for children who need additional help with speech and language.
Staff know which children live in homes without gardens and take this information into account when planning activities for children. The report does not explicitly detail outdoor space or physical play activities.
The staff at Ashbourne Day Nursery in Oldbrook are fantastic — very caring, attentive, and well-prepared. My child has always been happy and well looked after. However, I have serious concerns about management. They have changed operating hours without contractual basis, which makes scheduling difficult for parents. Promises made about hours were not upheld, which feels unfair. I hope management can address these issues, because the staff provide excellent care.

They create such a warm and nurturing environment, which gives me complete peace of mind as a parent. The manager is especially wonderful, always caring, professional, and approachable. It’s clear that the nursery is very well run and that the children’s wellbeing is the top priority. My child is happy, settled, and thriving here, and that means everything to us. I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a safe, supportive, and loving place for their child.
