Tiny Steps Day Nursery, established in 2007, is a purpose-built facility situated in a peaceful residential area of Oldbrook, just a five-minute drive from Central Milton Keynes. The nursery is dedicated to fostering a happy and secure atmosphere where children are encouraged to learn through playful exploration, nurturing their individual skills as they progress.
Each child is assigned a Key Person who monitors their well-being and development, ensuring a strong relationship is built between the staff, child, and parents, which is seen as crucial for a positive nursery experience. The nursery boasts four bright and spacious main rooms and three fully-enclosed, well-equipped gardens, offering a variety of activities for children.
Operating Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm, Tiny Steps provides flexible options including morning, afternoon, and full-day sessions to accommodate diverse family needs. The nursery emphasises the importance of a smooth settling-in process, understanding that each child adjusts at their own pace.
They offer settling-in sessions lasting one to three hours, designed to help both the child and parents feel comfortable and secure. During these sessions, the Key Person gets to know the child's routine, likes, and interests, facilitating a stress-free transition from home to nursery.
Tiny Steps Day Nursery prioritises affordability while maintaining high-quality care, with fees reviewed annually and transparently presented, including discounts for full-time attendees and siblings. They also offer guidance on accessing various government funding schemes to support families.

Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are fully involved in all aspects of nursery life. The support for children with SEND is exemplary, with a highly experienced special educational needs coordinator who advocates hard for these children, working closely with parents and other professionals to ensure they get the extra support needed to make progress.
Staff understand how important children's physical development is to their overall progress and good health. Staff encourage all children to spend time outside, providing lots of opportunities to build their stamina, coordination and confidence.
My daughter (3) and son (1) have been attending Tiny Steps for eight months now and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Both my children took a while to settle and they were amazing at being patient with them and helping them find different coping strategies. There is always a lovely atmosphere. Children are greeted by name when they arrive and given lots of choices of exciting activities to get involved with. The food seems varied and well-prepared. They are also great at communicating with the parents and put on lots of extra lovely events and ways to engage with them. Having looked at a large number of nurseries, I'm so glad this is where we chose to send them. They have been loved and looked after far better than I could have hoped for and I'll be gutted when they have to leave.
