Inclusion & environment
Staff ensure that the nursery is inclusive and seek and follow advice from professionals to support children with health needs. They liaise with professionals, such as speech and language therapists, to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, which helps children to make good progress in their learning.
Children report that they like to play outdoors with their friends and regularly use the meadow for imaginative play, such as pretending to be pirates and playing in the mud kitchen. Children take on roles like the Meadow Safety Officer to check the ground, gate and fences before use, and staff use radios and take medical and first-aid equipment when moving around the farm.
