Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff complete swift assessments when children first start at the setting to quickly identify any additional help and support needed. They engage with a range of other professionals to establish appropriate interventions aimed at supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Children with SEND are supported by a range of practitioners, although agreed interventions are not used consistently, which sometimes hinders their full participation in nursery activities and daily routines, impacting their progress.

Outdoor space

Staff immerse themselves in children's play, including playing in the mud with diggers. However, on occasions, outside, practitioners are not on hand to support young children to manage risks, such as using climbing equipment.

Money is more important than welfare. Shame as the staff are fantastic, it’s the management that lets the nursery down.
