Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff work closely with families and other professionals to provide targeted support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Additional funding, such as early years pupil premium, is used well to support children's needs.

Outdoor space

In the pre-school, children re-enact their favourite stories in the garden. They are fascinated by a bee they find in the sandpit. Children are encouraged to help staff to identify any risks in the garden before they play.

EAL / language support

Children attend the nursery who speak English as an additional language. Staff help them to learn and to develop their communication skills in English by providing a language-rich environment. However, not all staff understand and promote the benefits for children to be able to use and to see their home language at nursery as well as at home.

My little girl has been attending buttercups nursery since she was 9 months old. My husband and I are both shift workers, I work in community care and my husband is a chef. We are originally from South Africa and buttercups nursery is our absolute saving grace. Buttercups nursery is our support system. Today was my little girls second birthday and the ladies in sparkling stars made sure it was an awesome day for her. I cannot recommend this nursery enough. Buttercups nursery always go above and beyond with their love and care for the children. Today was the absolute cherry on the cake! So much love ! Thank you to the whole team of staff that love and adore our daughter like she is family.

I'm continually impressed with this nursery. The staff are just so incredibly kind and always go above and beyond our expectations. The decor in the rooms is just beautiful, and the toys are fantastic. Our little girl has been attending for 8 months now, and she settled in well and loves going to nursery.
