Busy Bees at Cambridge Westwick provides outstanding childcare for children aged 0-4 years, operating all year round from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Established in 1992, the nursery prides itself on creating a stimulating and rich environment where children thrive and are highly motivated to learn.

The curriculum is ambitious, carefully designed by leaders and senior practitioners to ensure every child receives the best possible start. Children are exceptionally confident communicators, with practitioners expertly weaving new words into conversations to extend vocabulary.

The nursery places a strong emphasis on outdoor learning; children enjoy exploring the forest school, learning about nature, caring for animals, and engaging in physical play that supports their early writing skills. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) make excellent progress, supported by highly effective use of additional funding and close collaboration between practitioners, parents, and other agencies.

SEND provision

Children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, make excellent progress. Additional funding, such as early years pupil premium, is used highly effectively to support children's needs and reduce any differences in their learning. Practitioners work closely with parents and other agencies to review children's next steps, which helps them to decide what to teach children.

Outdoor space

Children explore the forest school, learning about nature and caring for animals. Practitioners recognise that for children to develop their early writing skills, they need lots of rich opportunities for physical play. Children learn to balance, control their muscles, and enjoy running around outdoors in the fresh air.
