Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff know children very well and quickly identify if children require additional help. They work closely with parents and carers and seek support from external agencies. While staff await external input, they create individual plans for children, such as small group work, to help close developmental gaps and boost confidence and language skills, ensuring all children make good progress.

Outdoor space

Staff who are passionate about outdoor learning have received visits from other nurseries within the group to gather ideas about how to use the outdoor space to extend children's development. Staff follow older children's interests in the garden as they look for bugs, encouraging them to use magnifying glasses to help them find more creatures.

The staff at Barney Lodge are incredibly supportive and wonderful with the children. Facilities there are lovely and homely with lots of interesting areas for the children to play in, especially the huge gardens and woodland area. My son has been there for over two years and really loves it. I cannot recommend the nursery more highly.
