Battle Pre-School Playgroup, established in 1969, is a registered charity offering early years education for children aged two to five. Located in Asten Fields, Battle, the pre-school provides a nurturing, safe, and secure environment, encouraging children to take an active role in their learning journey.

With an Ofsted rating of "Good" from 2019, the pre-school follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, allowing each child to progress at their individual pace. The dedicated and highly trained staff are committed to fostering confident and resilient individuals, developing learning through exploration and enjoyment.

The pre-school values parental involvement and offers home links to ensure a strong partnership in each child's development. How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are supported in managing their emotions effectively. For example, staff provide them with cosy, calm spaces to retreat to when needed.

Outdoor space

Children beam with smiles as they persevere to dig holes for plants outside. Children thoroughly enjoy their forest school adventures, learning about the benefits of being outside on their mental and physical health.
