About this day nursery

Bear Hugs Day Nursery is dedicated to providing a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment across its three London locations: Sandyhill, Timbercroft, and Waverley. The nursery is committed to creating a "home away from home" where each child feels secure, happy, and supported.

Recognising the unique nature of every child, the highly trained staff focus on individual development through creative play, exploration, and diverse learning opportunities. The nursery aims to foster confidence, enhance social skills, and inspire curiosity, ensuring that each child is encouraged to reach their full potential.

Daily activities include morning huddles for connection and positivity, thoughtfully designed play stations for imagination and creativity, a learning lab for hands-on exploration, and ample outdoor play for physical activity and connection with nature. Healthy and delicious "Superfoods" are provided to fuel development.

The admissions process involves a tour, application submission, a meet and greet, and finally, securing a spot for the child.

SEND provision

Practitioners support all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), to make progress. They liaise with parents and other professionals, such as speech therapists, to ensure that they are working together and that children's individual needs are being met.

Outdoor space

Children have access to outdoor space with a range of equipment, such as bicycles, push-along toys and a slide. Children benefit from fresh air and explore moving in different ways, which supports their well-being and physical development.

All my 3 children attended Bear Hugs Day Nursery. It’s a great nursery and they took good care of my daughters. They would always give me an update on how my daughters day went. The staff are friendly and I would recommend Bear Hugs Day Nursery to anyone who lives in the are.

The staff are really experienced. They have gone to a lot of effort to get to know my child's interests and made sure the settling in process was smooth. They do plenty of different activities and my child is really thriving there. Highly recommended.
