How they support every child
SEND provision
Staff help all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities and other vulnerable learners, to recognise and manage their emotions. When children with special educational needs and/or disabilities become upset or have difficulty managing their emotions, their key person recognises this and applies specific techniques to help them regain control and soothe their emotions. This approach fosters an inclusive environment. Leaders ensure staff receive the appropriate training to support all children in their learning and development.
Outdoor space
Children benefit greatly from the wide range of experiences offered to them in the outdoor environment. Activities such as kicking and catching balls help to improve their physical skills, while filling and emptying sand buckets help to develop their wrist strength and coordination. Children enjoy playing in the large outdoor space, strengthening their physical skills.
EAL / language support
Children are guided to collaborate effectively and develop social skills that enable them to thrive and interact positively with others. Staff help all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities and other vulnerable learners, to recognise and manage their emotions.

My son has been attending Biddulph Kindergarten since he was around 11 months old, and he has absolutely thrived there. Now, at 3 years old, I can honestly say the nursery has played such an important role in his early years. The staff are warm, caring, and attentive – they took the time to really get to know him as an individual, which made settling in so much easier for both him and us as parents. It’s clear how much they genuinely care for the children, and the nurturing environment has given him so much confidence. He has loved the wide variety of activities on offer, from messy play and outdoor adventures to creative projects and story times. Every day feels like a new experience, and we’ve seen his curiosity, social skills, and independence grow so much as a result. Communication has also been fantastic – we’ve always felt included and informed about his progress, milestones, and the fun he’s been having. I couldn’t be happier with the experience he’s had at Biddulph Kindergarten. It really has been a wonderful start to his learning journey, and I’d wholeheartedly recommend it to any parent looking for a safe, supportive, and inspiring place for their little one.
